CALLING ALL MEMORIES CELLS!  DO THE NAMES ROBERT AND IVY BRENNAN RING A BELL?  PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP CHRISTINE OUT.   Write Audrie - click here.

My grandparents moved from Kent, England to Creighton in 1902 shortly after they married.  There names were Robert and Ivy Brennan and they stayed out there for a few years - perhaps 10years.

My grandfather was an engineer and came back to the UK to work in a paper mill.  My grandmother always had very good memories of her time in Canada but because I was very year,  I don't really remember much of what she said.  She talked of the ice hockey and had fancy dress parties.
I have noticed on the Creighton web site that there is a family of Brennan's and I wonder if there is a way of contacting them please.  I understand that my grandfather's brother probably stayed in Canada,  there is a big mystery surrounding the story.
I thank you for any information.  Kind regards    Christine Allerton (formerly Brennan)

Today was a day of reminiscing.  As Earl and I were comparing our Creighton memories, we both thought back to those awesome Christmas parties at the Club.  Remember the bag of candy canes and tangerines?  And Santa - now THERE was a Santa!  I don't know how many Inco used over the years, but they were wonderful at their job.  Does anyone know who Santa was?  <click here>

Well, a bit of the mystery has been solved.  Now, what about the 60's??  Thanks  to Dan Shannon for this info!
"I know for a fact that my uncle Bill Zyma was Santa in the 70's because I told my mom that I could see it in his eyes and his voice gave it away for me!!!  It didn't matter to me as long as I got what I wanted for Christmas, and I always did!!!!!"

And here's another piece of the puzzle - from Cecile LeBreton (Cayen)
Hi! Audrie I know for sure that my dad was santa at least one year - one of my sisters has a picture from the INCO triangle with him dressed as santa .  I will try to track it down.

From Linda (Petrucka) Truskoski:
Hi Audrie I remember my Dad Bernie Petrucka was Santa he was a natural he had the perfect belly for it.   I also recall my parents used to help run the teen and adult dances at the mine mill hall.

The santa I remember was Eddy Cyan who was a local police . Do you remember going to the show ?
